1 slice white bread

1/4 cup whole milk

1 lb ground beef (90/10 for best results)

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp cumin

2 cloves garlic, minced

salt and pepper

2 tbsp parsley

1 large egg, lightly beaten

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 jar Clean Plate Pantry Shakshuka Sauce

Parsley or cilantro for garnish (if desired)

Feta for garnish (if desired)

Directions:

Tear the bread into small pieces (or process in a food processor) and put in a medium sized bowl. Add whole milk and mix. Let the mixture set for 5 mins or until milk is absorbed into the bread. Add ground beef, the next 6 ingredients. Mix with hands (preferably) until combined but not over-mixed.

With we hands, for meat mixture into balls, about 2 tbsp each. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil until its shimmering. Add meat balls and cook until browned on all sides, turning after about 4 mins (the meatballs should not be cooked through). Turn down the heat and add 1 jar Clean Plate Pantry Shakshuka Sauce to the pan. Bring to a simmer and cover, cooking the meatballs 8 mins, or until cooked through. Garnish as desired. Serve with crusty bread.
